desiccant drying

A friend of swims is looking into making up some DMT from root bark.

he is going with the marsfold tech.

swim's friend would like to know how it use a desiccant and which one is best to help him dry the crystals before he does a chilled ammonia wash.

can any SWIY's help Swims friend?

well, the real way is to use a 'bell jar' type desiccator filled with dry-rite. silicon dioxide is a good desiccant as well. these are used to absorb water

but you want to do a wash first, before drying it. drying then washing kind of defeats the purpose of drying it in the first place
