I've discovered something about tingling burning lips/tongue... That could actually be too COLD. Unvaporized drops getting inhaled. That's what the raw DMT feels like of you were to put a dab on your tongue... When too hot you'll get brown residue on the heater and you can taste that burnt smell... Reduce your temp setting or inhale harder

I just got a v5 but i use for dab
And also use a geekvape ageis touch
The v5 is the best device known to man but there is always room for improvment i think the the cap should be part metal part silicone to help with heat but love the durable use it brings without and also the glass i dont like how easily it can “fall” out upon removal but other than tht its impecable

Always preheat for up to 10 seconds then draw pulsing for 5 to 10 seconds while drawing multiple times till you cant breath no more 😂 no more then 35 ish watts / 450f high side

@VoyagerGrey your method was perfect. everything happened exactly as you said it would, including the huge puff of vapor. i definitely should have went back in for that second hit like you suggested but yeah. this thing is great. thanks a ton.

So i had my few first experiences with my DT5.

My first impression is that it is rather load and go device. Meaning that you put the desired amount of deems and try to evaporate it in one go.
I dont se how it would be possible to load 100mg and do few tokes out of it. Maybe i am wrong, but thats how i feel it.

So i was loading 25-30mg, waiting for the temp to rise to 120 and started to inhale. First time vapour was very smooth, the second time i messed up with inhaling waited for too long and boom. Burn vapour vary bad.

I seen also that it does not evaporate everything nice and clean, some blackish residues are staying in, and look like it should be cleaned before reloading.
Is it my spice not being very clean (oily)? or this is the procedure? How do you clean it. Are there any blackish residues after inhaling 25-30mg at once?

Another thing i observed is that air flow is rather limited, so to inhale all of the 30mg need few good seconds of inhaling, and almost as the inhalation stops, the effects kick in, so it is rather imposible to take a second shot.

I was not using pearls, but have a feeling they would be of the help her in quicker evaporation and leaving less residues around the corners.

Please share some of your experiance, regarding amounts of deems being evapoated, are you soing one, two, three tokes? and how is the situation with blackish residues - and how do you clean it?
 
The black residue is normal, probably a trace amount of oxidized DMT. You can take a tissue paper, dampen it with isopropanol or acetone and clean it up, it's pretty easy. Yes the airflow is pretty restricted, which makes it impossible to take even 20mg in one go, but you have to somehow bring yourself to take two tokes. The glass vortex thing may make it better, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

Just received the Vortex top and, despite the blurb saying it fits the V5, it will only sit on top of the thread, not over it. Am I doing something wrong or are you just supposed to hold it on top when you fire up? Or did they send me the wrong one? Thanks.

IME it works much better than stock setup, and has the advantage of being fully transparent so you can see the vapor, when it's forming, if it's all done, etc
