DMT and others

Migrated topic.

OK. So SWIM has experienced the most intense, life-changing breakthrough and found it hard not to tell any of those close to him. This inspired some to want to try. SWIM allowed a small group to participate. Two experienced just "cool colors". One met the jester entity SWIM knows all too well (better from Salvia actually, anyone see the same entity between spice and salvia also? but that is another topic altogether) and was overcome to the point of not being able to talk about it for the night.
SWIM is so new to this feeling of power and community associated with spice that SWIM wonders if the other two are not selfish and too worldly and just looking for another high. SWIM wants to continue to allow those he trusts to experience this new world like he do, but almost get a bad feeling sent from the other side that these people shouldn't be coming or aren't ready. SWIM ais just a lost human though, so do he have no right to make this decision? I know no one can possibly have the right answer but any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I feel that this scarament should be dealt with wisely, not everyone is ready to have their reality shatered.

Just be careful who you decide to share this experience with. These days the only people I share my thoughts about DMT are my wife and YOU, the Nexus.

Only you can decide weather your friends are ready for Spice. The more I smoke the more I think that if anyone is ready for it, they will ask or search for it in their own time, as most of us have.

SWIM is afraid of being in the same position; one of SWIM's only close friends in the area knows that SWIM grows ethnobotanicals, which ones and why, and if SWIM extracted spice and experienced their first breaktld through, the friend would know and want to try. Is there any way to tell a wordly person that they aren't ready? (semi-rhetorically speaking)

I think some people are so caught up in there sense of self that they will never
be ready, and honestly how can anyone,no matter how selfless, grounded or aware they are,be truly ready for this paradigm shifting business.

Sometimes I think a really powerful wake up call is what is needed for some to break free, and start on a there own path of personal evolution,as long as it comes
with proper guidance, and accompanied by caring and committed support.

We now hold these powerful keys, how, and with whom you choose to share them
with can only be decide through our own wisdom.

But personally I think that most of humanity could do with the tryptamine re-birth,
to show them what we really are,and reveal what we can be.

If someone shows interest,I almost feel it's my duty to help them.

I find DMT to be quite odd in who "it chooses to let in."

The people I know that have done it respectfully have had quite amazing experiences.
Then there's the folks that just want to get high.
I've seen many of them take a big ole blast and kinda look around like "Is this stuff working or what?"

Then I've seen similar people smoke it, go for what appeared to be a hellish ride,
and come back not being able to recall their experience.

DMT is an odd one for sure.
I think it's truly wasted on people who don't seek to partake in it in a proper manner.
I suppose that's just my opinion though.

I always wonder about these things...Does the plant really share our prejudice towards junkies and abusers? Most people would say to treat the plant with respect and to take the chemical seriously but I think it's more to do with their safety than anything else.

In some people's defense, maybe they just aren't interested in it. To give you an example: I had a friend who is like me in many ways. We both share similar philosophies in that we should all be free and religion is holding us back as a species....etc. I brought up the idea of trying psychedelics to him and he seemed genuinely interested. I gave him several links and answered questions he had about DMT; how it's extracted, what it feels like, what you see...

Long story short he decided he didn't want to try it. He's not a bad person for declining, I don't think less of him in any way. This is serious stuff and should be handled with respect. Not so much because of the spirit of DMT, but for your own safety. I think it takes a certain personality to be successful with psychedelics.

I guess my point is, I don't think experiencing ego death or taking psychedelics makes you a better person. I think you have to first WANT to be a better person, want to experience something new and look deep into yourself. Others have said similar, psychedelics are tools and you use them however you want. There are other paths you can take to be a better person. I'll even go so far as to say religion and meditation is a similar tool, when practiced properly.
