If you have access to the bark and phyllodes of this tree we would be very interested to hear of any experimental results you get, as well as providing you with technical support during the extraction process.
Where did you hear that Senegalia (Acacia) catechu contains DMT? Is this anecdotal or is there a scientific reference for it?
It's important to remember that, while the heartwood of this tree is the usual item of commerce and gets used medicinally, there won't be anything much of interest to be found. You will need to carefully ascertain exactly which plant part you have, and also ensure that it's not a different species of acacia being passed off as S. catechu.
One more thing that we're interested in is ascertaining whether there are any benzylisoquinoline alkaloids to be found in this plant, so it's possible you could help us solve a riddle by checking
out its contents.
