a recent extraction of 236 grams mhrb turned up an upsetting 100mg. normans tek was followed. some mistakes must of happened. 2 more pounds are coming through and they will be used on the marsofold tek. ANyone have any experience with this tek?

I was wondering about the crock-pot part. Could you Cook it on the stove instead?

Any other way to do that part without crock pot at all?

Will it really be all extracted into the naptha in just one pull of 3 hours?

Would additional pulls result in anything worth obtaining?

Will lye and water with bark be just as effective.

dude use the stove... the first cook... simmer 1 hour with enough acidified water to amply cover all powdered bark...any regular pot on a heat source is fine... the crockpot is harder to deal with... simmer this... do not boil.. after an hour to an hour and a half... strain... repeat.. two simmers is enough if you use ample water and time... the second simmer , allow it to cook (stay hot , maybe 160-165F) for three or four hours..... train.. collect fluid... strain it using t-shirt or thin towel cloth .... do not attempt to use coffee filters.... basify it with lye... during basification it will go light blue grey for about 5 seconds (be stirring the whole time) then it will turn black... how much ever lye you had to add to make it go black... add half that much again. this is a fool proof method of reaching the right ph if you have no scale or meter.

add your solvent .. if possible cap the jars (no plastic) and roll them back and forth on the floor for about 10 minutes... then let it sit for a couple hours... remove and place in very small jar or freeze precip dish (baby food jars work great)... repeat... add fresh solvent to the jar... and just set it aside.. a few hours later ( a few minutes if kept hot and agitated enough) and remove the solvent and combine it with the first solvent. Add solvent one more time..... and its prefferable to leave the last pull sitting on it (the basified soup)for a few days... they longer it stays.. the more yellow the spice will be because the fats in the plant cells migrate over to the solvent layer. It doesn't really matter... the first few pulls you made within the first few hours.... i'd evap half of that(or until it goes white and cloudy) in the dish i intended to use for freeze precipitation.... after you evap half... stick the other half in the freezer ... if you did it right you will end up with the fruit of the tree of knowledge in the bottom of that jar.... shake it..let x-tals setle in the corner and gently pour off the solvent...remove the wet xtals from the jar immediately before water starts to condense on them/the jar.

Either youve just pulled the flesh of the gods or you wind up with some weak ass alkaloid profile like 66%Methyl Tryptamine 31% NMT and 1% DMT... I wish you luck in this as well as the previous subject..... goodnight you all.. im killed out and probably made no sense. Godspeed!

do many naptha pulls - the tek is wrong - u cant get all the spice out in 1 pull at all.
once u have ur naptha pulls combined - evap it down till it goes milky when u blow on it - then freeze precip.
there is loads of spice waiting to be pulled.
perhaps add more base too.

I used norman tek the first time. The questions i was asking were pertaining to the marsofold tek. However my interest is now pulled to the lazymans tek. IM farfrom lazy, but i saw a side by side comparison of lm tek and mars tek with the lm yielding 7.2 grams out of a pound compared to 4.8 grams on mars tek. Im sure variables exist on both sides of the argument. Im just going to toy around with a number of teks until i can put together a list of steps that works the best for me.

If you have to much naptha in a jar in a freezer, could that lower yields? i noticed people talking of evaporating it down a bit before putting in the freezer. Norman tek actually calls for all the pulls to be placed seperately in 4 jars. I combined them all into one. Could this have lowered yields?

I wanted to try this out. On first pull id like to place in freezer in a glass dish. Add fresh naptha to extraction jar and wait 24 hours. Then id get dish out of freezer and pour naptha out into a jar. Scrape crystals from dish and put the new naptha in the extraction jar right into the dish in the freezer while i take the previously used naptha in the jar warming, and put it right back into the extraction jar. I would continue to do this with just the 2 naptha collections until it was no longer worth it, collecting the crystals. Any problems with that?
