DMT in nature

Migrated topic.
Ok well in mammals it seems to serve as a neuro transmitter.

The main reason dmt is in so many places is that is a derivitative of one of the 20 essential amino acids. The enzymes to decarboxylation tryptophan are all in many organisms so that makes tryptamine and the enzymes to methylate the nitrogen on tryptamine to make dmt are also found in many places. In order words dmt is easy to make biosynthetically.

This line of reasoning follows the same kind of logic that explains why its in plants. Its evolution.

This support my idea people evolved around DMT which is more reality than a drug.

Well its a bit more complicated then that. When DMT started acting as a neurotransmitter is not known. It still needs to be proven thats exactly what its doing in our bodies. Then one would have to trace back on an evolutionary scale and also look at what other organisms use/produce it and for what purposes. Then you can build more of a complete picture. I wouldn't say its more "reality" than a drug. That doesn't really make sense. Would you say that seretonin is more "reality" then a drug? No its just a neurotransmitter involved in our perceptions of reality. Its like an on or off switch for neurons.

It works as a neurotransmitter.
It is an syllogism. People during their evolution from apes have become an dose of DMT to their head. From this step it´s logical to say that DMT
emanates to humans. I´m not so anthropocentric to think that people are the main around here. When You smoke DMT, it´s just an illusion or You gain
acces to a reality?

DMT is all over in nature. Why?

simple

it's a byproduct of the metabolism of the amino acid tryptophan. many organisms and plants have enzymes which catalyze the transformation.

asking why nature put it here as a mind-expanding drug is like asking "what's the meaning of life"... an utterly ambiguous question.

Why its produced more in one plant than the next is utterly random. It's not like it was floating through space and needed a nervous system for it to manifest in. I'll leave that to the 'shroom!

DMT is meaning of life!
