DMT Machine vaporization technique, having difficulties

I've been using the machine for quite a while and I have never broken through from the 4 or 5 times I have tried it.

I've read guides on it but no one ever mentions the specific vaporization technique needed. I melt the crystals on the mesh and i proceed to use a regular lighter to vape the dmt. I know I'm not supposed to touch the flame to the mesh and that is the part that confuses me. I've gotten very close to breaking through by the the flame to the mesh, and when I follow the guide that says hold the flame so that it doesn't touch it,the vape is very light and I'm barely getting anything.

For me the key was realizing that its a good idea to hold the lighter under the mesh for a few seconds THEN begin inhaling. This allows some of the heat to begin transferring even before you toke allowing for you to get vapor right of the bat. I find that the best position for the lighter is to start a half inch to an inch below your mesh and then bring it as close as you can as you continue inhaling. I have yet to breakthrough as well, but have been getting very strong effects off of relatively small doses with this methodology.
