DMT Mucus Ejection

I have had at least two journeys where I have experienced a large ejection of some kind of a mucus-like white substance and also quite a few times when a smaller amount was in my mouth following vaping.

The most extreme situations seem to create some kind of extreme bodily shock that causes an amount of a thick white substance to be ejected from my mouth. I don’t think I have experienced anything like it in normal life so I am a bit confused!

I am interested to hear from anyone else who has experienced such an effect or might have any idea what causes it.

Maybe DMT is causing this once molecules enter the mouth area?

Every time I smoalk, I spew a LOT of saliva!

After about 1-15 minutes of the inhalation, thick somewhat white mucus comes to my mouth. I think it's the lungs cleaning themselves from the DMT. In a similar manner that smokers lungs are cleaned.

In small amounts I can sort of get my head round this stuff existing (if it is the same stuff that happens when this stuff comes about in huge spurts). The odd thing about this stuff is that there is so much of it and it comes in the form of a forced ejection. As if what is happening is so extreme that the body or mind is freaking out and getting rid of something.

The amounts on extreme cases are like that which you can pull out when you have the very worst possible cold.

The other odd thing is it seems to have a noise of its own when it happens which I can maybe describe as being “pfffffssssssst”.

Seems like you have this thing going on in a bit more "extreme" manner. Could be due to vaporization temperature. What pipe are you using and is the vapor nice and cool when you inhale it, and doesn't make you want to cough?

This doesn't seem to be restricted to vaporization sessions for me. It can happen on ayahuasca, pharma or vaped DMT. The important part is that it usually only occurs following an immensely powerful experience. The most being encounters with the godhead, but any experience that falls in the sacred category can often brings floods of it.

Seems like you have this thing going on in a bit more "extreme" manner. Could be due to vaporization temperature. What pipe are you using and is the vapor nice and cool when you inhale it, and doesn't make you want to cough?

This is happening at the very most extreme experiences I have when very shocking things happen only, for instance the first time it happened I was being thrown around my room by an unseen force at the time, and the last I was being chopped up into bits (also ending up being thrown around my room!). I am using a GVG for all mentioned times so I don’t think it has anything to do with badly vaped spice.

This is the closest explanation of when it seems to be happening. The times that this does happen are in journeys that I would not merely describe as difficult. The only time this effect has happened are on my most otherwordly journeys.

It is generally at a point when I am semi-lucid and it is as if there is some kind of extreme shock and my mind/body/something else is saying “this does not compute, eject now”.

During those special experiences for which I produce mine, I'll often subconsciously and reflexively start running it through my mouth and teeth as it becomes more and more "string-like". The flow of fluid can create an electromagnetic field so it makes me wonder if perhaps the purpose it serves is to increase the magnetic fields around the head to help keep the experience going. It's a long shot, but a theory I came up with some time ago nonetheless.

Sounds odd! phlegm is a big concept in shamanism, including ayahuasca shamanism.. just google "shamanism and phlegm", or something, and i'm sure many things will pop up..Not that it will explain it! , but it might give some insight into it (and make you feel a little less nuts :d )

The Shuar people say they spread this phlegm out on the ground and to use it to 'divine', and only those who drank the brew can see it. McKenna talks about the same stuff to. There was a really good report many months ago in the welcome section about mushrooms and this sort of thing but i cant remember the name of it

It could be your body quickly removing the DMT residue(if there is any) from your lungs in quick manner in attempt to cancel the journey due to its intensity. Who knows...

Once again, has happened to me on ayahuasca only experiences.

I experience this with ayahuasca. It doesn't have to be a strong dose, but stronger doses is often more likely to produce thick saliva. This is not limited to ayahuasca/dmt, I also get it with certain other herbs, such as rhodiola rosea and mapacho.

The first time I could describe as me being a human-sized toothpaste tube, minus cap, that had just been squashed in the middle, creating the ejection.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me!
I was having a really intense kinda confusing trip and thought I must have puked my brains out because it felt so violent but it was just white mucus stuff.
It felt so good to get it out though...
