DMT Re-X Question

Hello,

SWIM plans on re-x DMT using heptane. SWIM is only re-x 1 gram of DMT so there will not be much heptane. SWIM has a gas stove and doesn't know anyone who has an electric stove. Should SWIM just use the gas stove anyway and just be very careful or is it too likely that the heptane can ignite? What extra precautions should be taken if using a gas stove?

you could bring the water to a boil, then turn the gas off. I use gas too.
I usually only use small amounts of solvent so ill just seal it in a quart jar then into the water pot with gas on, sometimes ill vent it depending on the situation. Just never leave it and be prepared to deal with a fire should it ever arise.

NEVER heat flammable solvents with fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also heating it up in closed container is a sure way to have it explode from pressure, and "venting it" once in a while will just make the flammable vapors go to fire and explode, you're lucky nothing real bad happened to you (and you can be sure the fireman would tell the police if they came to put the fire out and found extraction supplies all over).

Always heat only with freshly boiled water and no other heat source, and be sure to have the container at least slightly open to not create pressure, and work in well ventilated area.

I know its stupid, thats why i included the proper way. But like i said i usually only do 30ml in a quart mason jar at a time. Seal it, put it boiling water and stir the jar around the pot. Its quicker and i avoid fumes. I never leave it and i have a chemical fire extinguisher at hand. But yes i agree its not the proper way.
