DMT trip "worries" or "issues"

I wish I could figure out an herb vaporizer for changa that doesn't seem to waste tons of DMT, since changa is very much preferred. But so far my comparative tests with the same amount loaded in a bong showed it was vastly inferior. But vape carts have certainly come in handy for easy redosing in the middle of a session where I have one hand on a singing bowl while my eyes are entirely preoccupied. Especially in nature.
Maybe a custom job from a glass craftsman would do if you know enough about the method 🤔

It seems to appeal to immediate gratification, which, imo, doesn't lend itself towards responsible or mindful use. It's a way for a powerful substance to effectively become a party drug. And without going into too much detail, it's also a way for some to rip off others.

Ahh, I was saying 'vibe' thinking it would be an altered experience via Vape juice versus Glass pipe hit, I wasn't looking at this from a moralistic stand point.
I appreciate some may think of it like that and yep, it's very tempting to whack a quick hit down for breakfast and supper though I'll try to keep my respect for the molecule and use it at a time and place that is suitable and controlled.

My personal feelings are that weighing that dose of freebase out, putting it in the glass pipe and taking the hit/s is somewhat stressing so rather than a relaxed entry into DNA spiral world I've got this built up angst that makes my heart race. So for me the Vape solution and small weak hits is a way of displacing the fear and bringing myself back to a baseline relaxed state so I can properly enjoy the journey.

All that said, I may dabble with occasional hits at random times as a way to further acclimatise myself a bit like doing stretches before exercise.

My bad. With respect to that, the ones I made did give me a sore throat, but that could've been my error, adding slightly too much acid or something.

I'm guessing you added Citric Acid? I'm on my first batch of homemade juice at the moment, but I dare say I'll experiment with Citric at some point, I'm getting pretty smooth hits on this as it is with only minimal lip numbing!

when i first started out with DMT i extracted my own xtals and tried various methods to reach a breakthrough. i failed over and over until one day i got there. i found the process of extraction and trial and error to be a big part of the experience. the whole process gave me more of a bond with the molecule and i feel like it helped me connect. maybe it's in my head, i don't really know because i only have my own experience to judge from.
i always wanted to get a mod and vape DMT though, but i would never buy it from somebody else unless i trusted them with my life. the best thing about creating your own experience from the ground up is you can trust it completely.
the only real scary experience i had so far was when i disrespected it. though even if you don't disrespect it, it definitely gets real! as per:
at some point it gets real

Also, those same criticisms could be made about changa, if they were correct. Changa is actually used in parties and for immediate gratification. I don't think that's "changa's fault", whatever that would mean.

Lastly, even though it's not the way I have decided and prefer to use psychedelics, I don't see anything inherently wrong with their use for purely hedonistic purposes. Let's not fall for moral puritanism

How about let's not just casually throw out terms like 'moral puritanism':

"Moral Puritanism refers to a strict adherence to moral codes and values, often associated with the Puritans, who emphasized piety, community standards, and a rejection of behaviors they deemed sinful. This concept can manifest in modern contexts as a focus on moral correctness and social justice, sometimes drawing parallels to contemporary movements that advocate for ideological purity."

Simply because someone is acknowledging that there can indeed be different levels and types of usage and intent.
Again, no one is saying there is anything 'wrong' with purely hedonistic usage of psychedelics, but this is the lowest usage of them and the least beneficial by many metrics.
Otherwise you are forced into the view that the term entheogen is itself intrinsically 'morally puritanical', when in reality it is simpy acknowledging the highest and imo ultimate purpose of these substances, the hedonistic and therapeutic uses being however a waystation and sometimes necessary part of that journey also.

How about let's read the thread before commenting:
True. I also didn't say that it was a puritanical attitude, I just said let's not do it. It was preemptive on my part, as it's something that tends to appear easily. If no one is doing it, there's not much more to say about that :)

Nothing else to add on my part.

What a loaded thread. I have a strong suspicion, reading Nexus, that you can actually put an intention or energy into your posts.
Everything else just becomes a mirror reflection of it. I have seen it far too many times for it to be a coincidence.
