SWIM found some dmt hidden under a rock and decided to try to vaporize a tiny amount on some aluminium foil (to see what it would do). He said that almost instantly after puting a flame under the aluminium, the dmt turned liquid (in less than a second). SWIM was wondering if this is normal since he read that i takes a certain time to vaporize the dmt whereas when he tried it happenned almost instantly. Thanks for helping SWIM answer his question :)

It will always liquefy before vaporizing. Thats how the element used inside a vapor genie is typically loaded, whether a ceramic disc or copper scrubber, the element is warmed up a bit and the spice is dropped on to melt onto the element so it can be loaded into the GVG, and then vaporized. It will re-solidify when it cools down.

Was what liquefied actual freebase crystals or was it goo/crystalline goo?

Either way, it liquefies first then it vaporizes.

I recommend a freebase pipe (the pipes with the little bulb at the end..) if you don't want to go all out and get a GVG. Its what I use and it works just fine! They're really cheap at smoke shops. $2-$5 depending on the thickness. You should go with the thickest they have. To load it just grab a straw and cut the tip at an angle to scoop up the DMT from under your hidden rock, then load it thru the bulb hole not the mouth piece! That is important. It will get all gunked up if you do. The rest is all about your smoking technique. Hope this helps

If you've got goo like I ended up with, I found that a flat square titanium plate heated up then dabbing onto after I let it cool for a couple seconds works really good. I load up two at a time and the plate stays hot enough to run both of them fully. I don't feel like I loose too much either, just gotta keep it cleaned out more often cause there is a small inline at the base of the piece.
