DMT vs Salvia

DMT and Salvia are two completely different worlds. The only similarity is short duration after smoking. Well those who know Salvia well say you should not smoke it, you should chew on fresh leaves. That is supposed to be a completely different effect. I don't like Salvia too much but it can be fun sometimes. I find DMT be so much more of an experience and....... well I can't really compare these two compounds. For me Salvia is a really fuckt experience but DMT........ well like I said I just can't compare hehe
But people are different and effects are different. I've had very spiritual experiences with DMT and it has had good effect on me. Salvia has never left me with anything, well confusion maybe.

DMT can show me the universe or the mechanics behind reality. Salvia fucks up these mechanics for me.

I know her well and I completely adore my smoked journeys with her...I dont find burning salvia any less sacred than burning DMT from plants that were once only used orally...salvinorin A is an amazing vaporized and oral entheogen!..I have never ever had an experience where I felt I had done anything wrong by smoking her, the only experience where I felt negativity from the beings was due to a sitter I had, who had disrespectful and negative views of salvia..the being did NOT like him!

Lately..dare I say it, I am finding more and more similarities between the sage and the spice..but only really durring the breakthrough..the "DMT room" phenomenon actually. I have been there with spice 3 times this week..it's like a cooridor..REALLY strange. My last experience of the room was 3 days ago, and upon entereing I saw the chrysanthemum..and then it sort of bubbled out and formed the corridor. I had the impression I was in some sort or space station, and remember a grid patturn on the wall and a window, with a satellite type of machine outside..then I opened my eyes..

I have been to the "DMT room" on salvia as well probabily hundreds of times..but it's a little bit different. I call it the sage room. It is the first level of salvia breakthrough, just like DMT. I will be in the corridor place, that exists behind my eyelids, and I get the feeling that my body is jsut a vesicle I am wearing, and if I want I could simply leave it and fully enter the space. The visions within the space are different though, and everything after this level can completely different. Salvia has it's own distinct character to its visionary quality too abstract to explain here..but it's easy to identify a salvia vision from a DMT vision for me..and the body sensations are different. But both bring me to that same cooridor space at the first level of breakthrough..weird. At lower doses they are not similar for me, spice feels like mushrooms at pre breakthrough doses..salvia is just unique..very meditative.

I've smoked salvia 25x many, many times over the past few years, and only recently discovered spice.
Although I very much enjoyed salvia, I found an end limit to where salvia takes me, to a state of total relaxation, total letting go, but I guess since I've got so used to salvia the visuals are not really there for me anymore.

Fractal, the "DMT room" you speak of. Sorry to sound like a newb but I kind of am with spice. It seems everytime I break thru I am in this massively large ( I think dark blue) room ( or area of space) with swirling complex "toys" or "charms." Is that what you mean as the DMT room? I take it others also experience this room? If so, how strange that other would have this same experience!

ok, so for me it happens like this..I start to see a circular patturn, sort of crosshatched..it vibrated and then my whole visual field vibrated, than I feel it all througout me. I usually than see this crystal sort of thing..but its sort of like I am inside of this crytal form looking out through one side of it..reminds me of the merkaba people talk about. Than I feel as if I am falling through it, through myself..into this space..the DMT room. Its always spinning around and around when I go there. If I have taken enough It starts to feel like once the vibrations settle, than I have the visions within the room, or feel myself start to travel. But the main thing about the "DMT room" is that it seems to always be spinning around. I have gone to the room while at a psytrance party, and the music filled up the room in form of so many colours and patturn overlapping eachother. Another time the room stopped spinning and I was left in some sort of alian space station place..another time I focussed on love and felt myself expand as love into the people around me for a few minutes..quite strange.

No comparison. Salvia is a harsh mistress, it seems like every time I go there it's like I'm intruding, or bothering them, DMT takes your hand and guides you willingly. Salvia rips you apart and spits you out, while DMT gently dissovles you and teaches you wonderful things.

Now, this is just for me personally..I know people who swear by salvia..I myself have had a one or two good experiences with it, but also way too many unpleasant ones (with no apparent reason) to justify it's use.
DMT also has the potential to give you a bad trip, but SWIMS only experienced minor fear (it's reason becomes apparent, and fixable) that was quickly overcome..

Saliva is very dark, the hallucinations not very distinct, the mind fuck just too damn weird..DMT is extremely colorful, bright, the mind fuck is actually coherant, and makes sense afterwards..salvia doesent give you much info to bring back..

I think if one is very used to traditional psychs, it makes it harder to "find" the light in a salvia journey..because it is so radically diff from anything else..I remember so many times I swore the stuff off, thinking the experience to be completely absurd. I love her though.

May I suggest though that before you fully part from the sage, you try a little bit one day with the spice...it's a whole new ball game! I only really suggest it becasue I know you have already worked extensivly with the sage, and may find the combo very interesting.

I have! I tried the combination of spice and sage a few times and had some interesting results.
I found that spice and sage togther, the sage blocks the spice, but if I also smoked some weed before trying this combination that the weed acted as an enabler and spice and sage were then a great combo ( in fact the best journey I ever had!) But on a different day I may not get the same results, so who knows?

I have exactly the same set of things happen to me upon launch, the circular vibratory pattern, the crystal sort of thing ( sort of a boxey slowly spinning brightly colored charm in this peaceful dark blue room .) I don't feel inside it though, I feel that I'm looking at it.
I also don't feel that I fall through it, but rather, after about 20 seconds of gazing at the charm in the room, I transition somehow without knowing quite how on to the next stage of the trip which is usually pretty wild and wonderful. I'll have to pay more attention next time and see if I feel that I'm going thru the charm. I'll have to try music sometime with spice.
