Most cubes I've had are goldfish brown so e slightly orange or red but not red like these.

Seem this pic online and these shrooms look exactly like some I had years ago they were by far mist potent I've had.

Look like unopened 'cubez to me. Perhaps a variant, but i doubt they are a different sspecies.

Once again, I'm not an professional, expert, or anything like that.

hi :)

They are psilocybe cubensis (cubes for short) im 99.999% certain of it!

Cubes are at their most potent when they are picked before the veil fully rips / tares, these cubes look like they have been picked at the right time or maybe a bit early, to ensure maximum potency in the final product.

Figured as much. Maybe it was just luck on potency.

That wouldn't lead to a difference in potency ? Not being fully mature ? Seems if anything they'd be less potent.

Hi there

Well potency only drops a bit and if you grow them till they fully open, they can get quite a bit bigger, say 1/5th to 1/4rd bigger.... so people are usually are after quantity rather than quality.

so if a grow is going to yield say 20 grams and they can get say another 4-5 grams by leaving them to fully open, people usually will.

Smaller cubes are more potent that bigger cubes in general, I have taken aborts (tiny shrooms that abort and stop growing) in the past that have have felt twice as strong, I am sure they where not twice as strong but they sure felt like it!

so if you are going to grow or acquire mushrooms, try to get shrooms that have not fully opened yet :)
