Ectraction Report: using old MHRB

Migrated topic.

I attempted to extract 3 or 4 months ago but I was interrupted by "unforeseen consequences."

I have kept it air tight/in the dark.

Ratio: MHRB:H2O:LYE 456g:3000mL:250+
Day one (well I did this way late at night)

80% of a gallon jar filled with water, I was a little short on lye, put in 250 in an ice bath to control it.

Got another gallon jar filled it with a pound of rootbark. Poured the lye-water over it, stirrred hard, shook.

30 minutes later filled it almost al the way up to the top with naphtha.

I've been rolling it around, plan to freeze it tomorrow night.

Wish me luck!!

Becuase it is old, is this bad?

It is now 2 nights later, I pulled off the naptha and placed in freezer for the night. Put on new naphtha.

The hardware store didn't have vm&p naphtha, just normal naphtha, is this bad?

Ok, the first pull was left in the freezer for about 2 days ha, and I yielded 250mg of pure white dust to 30% yellow 70% white dust :).

is 250mg out of a possible 5g shitty for a first pull?

out of a possible 2.5g you mean.
The solubility of DMT in naphtha is roughly 1g per 100ml.
Sorry to say, but that is pretty bad.
But that doesn't mean you're next pulls aren't going to be good.
And it's not to do with the bark being old, I've read of people extracting well from bark they've had for over a year.
My friend said he would of used something closer to 4L of water and 300-400 grams of lye.
It's not too late to add more basified water.

No it's not bad, the brand name is irrelevant.

Don't worry, see how the next pull goes and consider adding more lye+water.
