Hello,
All of the research I had been doing up until now was focused mainly on the actual technique but the more I have been reading the more I am realising the importance of proper equipment and avoiding plastics and other easily corroded materials.
So out goes the plastic turkey baster and in comes the glass syringe. Out goes the pickles jar with aluminium lid and in comes....?
I am thinking of getting a 1000 ml erlenmeyer flask with glass stopper. From what I have read on here this seems to be a popular vessel.
Will the glass stopper form a leak proof seal so that I can roll my mixture? And is this vessel safe to use for a heat bath? Presumably if the stopper does form an air tight seal I should leave it off during the heat bath to allow for expansion.
I do apologise if these questions are a bit basic, but I am keen to avoid getting covered in a warm lye solution! And wasting my bark of course
Also I should probably mention that I am going to be trying cybs hybrid atb salt tek.
Thanks
Woody
