I've been very curious how long root bark can last and I haven't found many sources of folks using old bark. So I recently used Cyb's Hybrid tek, running two 50g extractions side by side and yielded 800mg on first pull, combined with 3 year old bark. It was only stored in two ziplock bags and kept in a drawer for most of the time I had it. It could be even older, depending on how long the distributer had it before shipping.
Who else has run successful extractions with old bark? This seems like something very important to know. For such a scarce natural resource, I would prefer to always have some on hand. I think of it like a seed bank for future harvesting needs.
