EXTRACTION HELP Q21Q21 Tek 2

His first attempt was a fail, because he used garden lime instead of food safe lime. Well, after he let it set in the freeze for 10 hours, he had nothing, so he let it outside to evaporate and the solvent became foggy, clear balls of goo began to accumulate. After letting it evaporate for a while he put it back in the freezer. Is there any chance he is going to get anything from this? his second attempt of the same tek with right material is in the same freezer, so he doesnt want to open and look. Is there any salvaging the first tek?

Did you try a second pull on it to make sure it was not working? it could be just from your methods there was a slight delay in the freebasing so if you did that pull very quickly after adding the lime it might not have got any DMT.

The key thing to look for (newly added to the tek) "Note 1: If the first 2 pulls don't cloud or precipitate crystals after 8-12 hours then check something in the extraction did not work correctly"

if there isn't any DMT then it may be the lime. Many garden limes have only portions of Calcium hydroxide and many have none at all so it really depends what was in the lime, you might want to look up the MSDS. Since the PH likely was not raised high enough to freebase the DMT you should still have all the DMT in acetate or tannate salts in your mush.

This means that you will have to salvage it either
1. as a lime STB which will work just like the A/B just take about 2 days for the freebasing to be significant and a few more days for it to finish.
2: as a liquid tek with lye.

after the wrong lime was added, it sat for about 2 hours during pulls. Is it possible to mix your solvent into the mush too much. I remember it said u get > 90% from your first pull but i only get about < 50%. Mixing it too much or is it the bark absorption? Also, sicne he left the failed teq to evaporate the next morning, i had clear balls of goo formaing all over my dish, is that what im looking for? can i pop them balls of goo into the freezer and they will crystalize?

My second tek with good lime went in the freezer at 11AM today, im planning on opening the freezer at 8PM, draining and smoking by 11, does that sound about right?

i just dumped the solvent from the first tek which had the wrong lime, my container had a huge layer of film on the bottom, if i used the wrong lime can i assume there contaminates in that film or what? i turned it upside down in the freeze, and im going to wait 2 more hours.

Honestly if you did that many pulls and did not get crystals I wouldn't recommend smoking anything that came out of that. instead of smoking it first burn some and just wafting. if it smell really weird like plastic-y and maybe a bit floral if you vaporize it and don't burn it, I'd recommend using a small piece of copper scrubber (with the varnish burned off) to do the test with cause on a spoon or something usually burns it harshly.

During the test look for any remains after vaporizing it or if all of it melts evenly. If weird stuff is up with those then I would recommend throwing that out.

I just pulled the messed up one out of the freezer(it was upside down), it had a white film, crystally look to it and it all melted in about 1 minute. Now whats left is a pile of goo that looks kinda like someone blew a wad. I returned it to the freezer right side up. What can i do with the white residue?

I looked at the 2nd attempt (good) at + 6:30 hours in the freezer, i have a ton of solvent but have nice crystals in the bottom ( didnt look like much ), should i filter out the crystals and put the naptha back in the freezer? And if those dont melt, then ive successfully done 1.

Ive already read the tek 2 about 50 times, i feel like i can do it with my eyes closed now, the freezer participation is what i havent completed.

SUCCESS! The 2nd attempt has tons of crystals all over, filtered the solvent and stuck it back in a sep precip dish while the crystals are drying!!! This was a super easy tek, thanks Q21Q21!

i puilled my snow globe out of the freeze and i am admiring it, i see some moisture, maybe condensation? should i worry about that destroying my stuff? Now all thats left is to smoke it, which everyone seems to think is the risky part, what if i smoke it while it has a slight naptha smell? it seems like the smell will never go away

I hope by naptha smell you mean kinda like weak paint thinner only up close, not like gasoline. I bought a gallon of export because I had sucess with the litre but the gallon had a gasoline-smelling additive which was left after evaporation.

being in a freezer it likely will have some condensation but usually the naptha smell goes away in 15 minutes or so when the dish is left on it's side to drip on the windowsill.

everything worked great, i smoked it and noticed the difference between the white spice and the stuff with dif alkaloids... seemed to not have the same color and whatnot. yeild was 0.05. Thanks for the help Q21Q21
