Extraction Solvent help

Hey everyone, I have a slight problem I need some help with.

I am doing a 3kg extraction at this moment and have come across a problem. My Local Hardware store has ran out of VM&P (Which is my preferred solvent). Normally I do 3 pulls per lb of MHRB. However the store does have a gallon sized container of Xylene ( Have not used) , at this point I have enough naptha to do 2 pulls per Lb of MHRB. So my question is what should i do for the 3rd pull, can I use Xylene and mix it in with the naptha or would I keep those Pulls separate? or should I keep the bark until I can get more naptha, even though I am kinda on a time limit because of vacation.

Well, you should do the same amount of pulls regardless of how many lbs you are extracting.

You can do it either way you want, use the xylene and naphtha or save the basified solution until you can get more naphtha

If you are going to use xylene I believe that you can't freeze precipitate it and you will have to evaporate it, so take that into account.

The other thing you could do is do your naphtha pulls, freeze precipitate out the dmt, and then reuse the same naphtha for the remaining pulls

I try to recycle my naphtha as much as possible so I usually do 2 to 3 pulls with the same quantity. Since I have only 1 container to freeze precip in I just recycle the same amount. As I'm further into the extraction I usually lower the amount of naphtha used by splitting it into 2 and do 2 pulls with lower amounts. And sometimes mix with a bit of fresh.
