facebook just tried to sell me mimosa...

So.. It's beautiful outside, right? Sun's shinin.. Winds blowing.. It's summer festival season.. I love this time of year.

I'm doing my preparing today for a festival this weekend.. Very excited.. And first, facebook's custom tailored ads recommended I check out GlowCity for stick figure light up costumes, and all kinds of crazy glowing sticks, toys, and accessories.. That was sweet, and not the first time facebook has recommended things that have surprised me with how well it knows me.. (To name a few: A "spiritual" college near me, an online Ayahuasca seminar, and ways to make spare money answering physics questions)

But what really just blew my mind, was when I saw this ad over on the right side of my facebook page just a few moments ago:

Are you kidding me?! The ad said "Your Online Provider of the Worlds Finest Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark powder!".

And the even crazier thing is... The prices are pretty good! Dunno about quality.. But anyway, just thought I'd share that story with ya'll.. How crazy is that?! O___O!

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but... "The only goods allowed to be discussed in the..." - that defines what is to be discussed in that section, but doesn't stipulate that a link shouldn't be shared in any other forum.

Maybe it's phrased wrong, or maybe I didn't understand correctly? I never assumed that part meant that you could only talk about suppliers in that forum, but that it was meant to express what kinds of substances were allowed to be discussed within that forum.

Hi all,

In the past few months I see that more and more talk about suppliers outside the suppliers section. This is an unwanted situation.

We have the special suppliers section to talk about suppliers. The suppliers section is the only section of the forum that is NOT indexed by search machines (it's not visible to them). Also any outgoing link is routed via anoniem.org to give no DMT-Nexus hits on suppliers websites.

We do this to for a few reasons:
* Make it harder for suppliers to recommend their own products or sabotage other suppliers (the suppliers section is outside the Nursery)
* Make no hits from the DMT-Nexus on suppliers webpages, that way we are not profiled as a source
* Make no hits from the DMT-Nexus on normal suppliers (as is non entheogen suppliers) websites and search engines


So I like to ask you to keep any suppliers talk inside the suppliers section. This means no threads about them and no mentioning of them in posts outside the suppliers section.

Any existing supplier thread in the wrong section will be move to the suppliers section. If new members have something urgent to say about any supplier they can contact me or one of the mods.
