Haha this sounds like something straight out of Harry Potter...I'll pass but thanks for the insight.
Hey bud, sorry to hear about your scary experience... I've had an LSD trip where I didn't know what I was getting into and my gf morphed into Satan and taunted me the entire night for what felt like was eternity-- NOT FUN!
About your Harry Potter comment, a few thoughts:
It may be a good idea to open up to things other than what you know about already and are comfortable with and do research through experience of your own before dismissing sound advice that has worked for others- especially when it comes to this type of stuff, ya know?
A common response/instinct to what I just said may be, "well all that 'magick' stuff is just placebo and/or going on inside the person's head, it isn't real", but think about it, the experience that has caused you to re-evaluate your life also just occurred in your head, a place where the placebo effect runs so rampant that there are special tests that have to be done on main-stream drugs to prove they break a threshold of placebo effects.
Alan Watts, a cool thinker/spiritual type from yesteryear, said something like "if you think you need to see a psychologist, you need your head examined". What he meant by that was, whatever it is you think YOU need to do in order to have an experience (spiritually speaking here), doing it will make you think you've done the necessary work to get there. I think it may be a residual of the protestant work ethic
Try finding a ritual that means something to YOU; could be praying, eating nothing but fruit for 24 hours as an act of sacrifice/devotion, doing a funny dance, asking the DMT to please be gentle with you and state your respect for it, anything really, but state your intentions and make a point to protect yourself in whatever way you think will be best for you. Any of those things I just listed could be considered "magic" since the effect they have is a result fo you thinking they're important!
I personally gather my friends in a circle and have everyone state why they're eating the mushrooms, ingesting the MDMA, etc, and what they want out of it. Then I'll say a blessing and we all ingest it at the same time as a sacramental type thing. Nothing fancy, but it totally works.
Others may disagree with me but just wanted to add my two cents.
I wish you the best of luck on your continued inner journey and shoot ya deep and sincere Namaste!
