First Extraction Help

Hello DMT-Nexus members,

I have a question about the materials for joshisom's ACRB extraction. In his list of materials he mentions that "1 can NAOH/lye/caustic soda 5%" is required. I don't understand what the 5% means. Is he saying that lye should be diluted before being used? The material mentioned before that is "vinegar (white distilled 5% acidity)", so maybe he accidentally wrote 5% again. I'm not sure, and i sure don't want to screw this up, so if anybody could clarify, that would be awesome. :d

Are you doing a kg on your first try? Not a good idea.. I advise to use 100g and follow cybs max ion tek or the blab on the nexus wiki..
1kg for a newb could get very messy if it goes wrong..

get 200 ml of distilled water add to that say 3 teaspoons of naoh then mix thoroughly till its all in solution then add the basic solution...have you read other extraction techs to get a better understanding of whats happening?

Hey DreaMTripper,

I'm not planning on using 1kg for my first extraction. I'd like to start with around 250g, so i thought i would just scale down the materials needed. I just tried to download the pdf file for cybs max ion tek but I don't have the sufficient rights, are there any other ways i can obtain the pdf? I prefer not to use the blab tek because i'd like to work with the materials i have at hand.

Hey phri , I Can't PM since i'm a new member. I found a transcript on the wiki, but it's Cyb's Hybrid ATB. Probably better off using that tek since i've never done this. I'm just unsure because it's specifically mentions MHRB. I'll have to keep looking into it.
