First extraction, results g2g?

Hi!

Yesterday I finished the first pull of my STB Nomans tek.

I put 50g MHRB+42g lye+600ml demineralized water.

This is the result of the first pull with 50ml of hexane.

Total: 270 mg, more or less.

My doubts are that it smells strong, as an almost dry barnish. And if I touch it, the spice is like greasy between the fingers. More than greasy, similar to the rough touch of a resin.

What do you think about this?

I have to say that I evaporated the hexane, I think next pull I will freeze to precipitate it. Opinions please.

Looks good to me.

You should have several more good pulls in there.

The oily feel is normal.

I really try not to handle the spice with my fingers unless I absolutely have to.

Considering that you did a STB and evaporated the solvent, you’ve got a very clean result (although the yield seems a bit low). DMT has a waxy feel, so that’s normal. As far as any odors – chop up your product a bit more and let it air-dry for a day or so.

Like stated above, evaporating tends to get waxy 'feel/look' to it, as there is a lot of fats/oils in it as well

Hello again!

Updates:
Until now, I made 4 pulls from these 50g. The result I think are great: 830mg.

I got another pull in the freeze now and I can see a good amount of precipitated crystals again.

How many pulls do you do usually? Until there is no trace of DMT crystals in the hexane?
