First extraction, some pics, and a few Q's

So, I did my first extraction last night, and I think it went pretty well. Below is a pic of the first pulls results. I used Noman's tek, but after I did the first pull, I shook the jar because I read in another tek that it would extract more DMT, and because I have time, I didn't care how long it would take for them to separate, but now I'm not so sure that was a good idea. Now, instead of having just the two layers, I have three. The bottom, top, and now, in between, there is a milky sludge that doesn't seem to want to separate. Is whats left a total loss now, or can I salvage it? I did do another pull this morning of the naptha that was on top, and am getting some crystals forming, but not even a quarter of what I got from the first. I didn't even get half of the naptha out that I put in this time.

Edit: Just got everything scraped up, and weighed, and got a total of .2g's. Way more than I expected on my first pull. I started with 70 grams of powdered MHRB.

You can just wait it out and it should separate again, or you search for how to salt the emulsion to break it. You really shook it alot, right? Gently rolling mixing motion is best. Definitely not a loss....just lost time.

The other naptha you are "missing" is in the emusion you created by shaking it.

Goodluck on the rest of the pulls after this settles out, just be patient, and gently mix next time so as to avoid the "middle" layer. No worries.

Thanks for responding! Yea, the first pull I did just roll it a few times, but I read somewhere that if you shake it, you will get more DMT out, and I figured since I had time, and had already taken one pull, I would give it a try. I'm pretty sure there's more than enough in my first pull, plus what's forming now in the second one for what I plan to do Friday. I'll let it sit for a few days and see what happens.
