that is very nice. I did my 1st successful xtract about a month ago and is just as much fun making it as it is smoking it. Im still learning lots about precipitation tho. Good job and looking good.

Nice first crystals!!! Just out of curiosity, are you doing any cleaning/ re-xing, if you what method are you going to use, in my experience that first re-x/cleaning really shows you how much gunk is in even slightly yellow crystals.

I'm playing around with re-xing some now. I'm also playing around with partial evaps and then freeze precipitating.
I could do an ammonia wash, but I haven't been able to find any good coffee pot cleaner to wash it.
What I ended up doing was scraping the white crystals and dumping them in some foil, then the lower/yellow-white ones to their own foil, then scrape up most of the oil and scraped it onto different foil. So I have 3 different "kinds", until I learn more on what to do with it.
The oil is the real PIMA. It is so sticky that I foresee problems even trying to load it to an herb. You guys got any suggestions? I'm all ears! Er, eyes I guess...

Get a flask or a jar and put about 300ml of naptha in it and add all 1.5g of your spice.
You need to heat up your naptha and mix the spice back into it. Just boil some water on the stove and heat your jar in the hot water then take it out and shake it hard to mix the spice back into it. It takes about 15 minutes of hard stirring/shaking but at the end you are left with some goo on the bottom of the jar.
Pour the naptha into another container, trying not to include any of the goo, and freeze it. This got rid rid of the stickyness for me and I was left with some nice crystals. I had about 20% reduction in weight but I don't think the gooey stuff contains any DMT, just plant fats maybe.

I have already scraped that jar. I did the 3rd pull, froze precipitated, poured off the naptha and ended up with only a few small white crystals and a semi-thick layer of crystally-rough yellow oil. I then poured acetone into the remainders of the first jar, dissolved the left-overs, poured that into the second jar, dissolved all that, then added 3 grams of leaf. Got that evaping as I type this.
