First Syrian Rue Experience

I did a Syrian Rue (smoked) and DMT combo for the first time today. The experience was a world of difference, lasted much longer - about 20-30 minutes - was stronger, yet moved slower, was much more healing and teaching. I felt like that must be what ayahuasca is like. I will never do DMT without an MAOI inhibitor again.
Instead of the "WTF? BANG! What happened?",
it moved slower, and the shaman from wherever had time to teach me what was really going on in my life....(bunch of personal stuff)

I finally got a little taste of the aya life and experience...after all these times and experiences, now I understand.

It was probably the hardest I ever tripped in my life, but still smooth and mellow enough to think that way to be the only way to trip in order to obtain knowledge from the other side, which is really knowledge from within.

Dude I totally agree. I would really recommend mixing in some caapi though, it's even more nuturing and teacher like...plus the visuals are pure treasure!

I agree 100% with you. I like to smoke a few Caapi joints before I lay down to smoke some Changa. I find this is night and day better then strapping my arse on a freebase rocket, crossing my fingers, and launching.

My first experience with syrian rue was an extract into alcohol, white wine I believe. I'm not much for alcohol (makes me terribly ill, even in small amounts) and I didn't finish my dose, but I do think it helped with the following mushroom experience. You're word to describe it "smooth" is a pretty good word I think. I took upwards of 7g of mushrooms that night, 5g of which all at once, and though I'm an experienced mushroom traveler, the syrian rue made it slightly more easy to control visuals (ie. not too much as to be overwhelming and taking away from internal discussion) and also seemed to help me focus inwardly, which was the intention for the night. I would try it again and attempt to take all of the rue. Maybe if it was extracted another way.

How much are you guys smoking and mixing with the wine? I ask because I have a few month old extract and have yet to experiment with except a couple low dose smoke (30 mg) and oral (25 mg) with minimal subtle effects....haven't had the time to go in real deep yet...the time is coming real soon though!

Also interested in extraction method used for smoke-able syrian. Did it still effect your stomach like i see most ingested maois seem to do?

Not sure about the amount extracted with the wine. I didn't do the extraction myself, but I think my friend said that he just soaked the rue with wine for a while. I think I remember doing a similar extraction method with HBWR seeds a while ago.

wouldn't syrian rue tea work just fine as well? It wont taste that great, but if you cook it down to a shot it is not that bad....plus it glows under ultraviolet, thats something special on its own haha

tea is ideal IMO..oral harmalas with DMT vaped or ingested is not the same as when you smoke harmalas with DMT in my experience. When you consume harmalas orally they feel fuller somehow. Oral harmalas just do things smoking them cannot do, for me anyway.

When I injested about 3 grams of syrian rue and smoked dmt about an hour after, it was slower as you described. I was able to remember a lot more for some reason. The trip carried a different overtone if you will...
