It will be awhile before I get to read all the goodies on this site. I have been following Erowid and some no-otropics sites for a few years now. I had my first experiences w psychedelics in the late 60's and 70's as a teenager. It was profound enough that throughout my adulthood with all the other interests I engaged in, I continue to seek more info on the subject, mostly in the past few decades thru ethnobotany, and cross-cultural shamanic practices along with western body/mind modalities and eastern mysticism practices. Now I am old enough to seriously consider re-experiencing the psychedelic world thru the advanced research of the times. Yet how does one make those physical connections? It's not like it was in the hippie days , at least not in my neighborhood. So meanwhile i will continue to read about other's experiences as i move beyond the wonderful work of DMT the Spirit Molecule, MAPS org and all the ayahuasca stories, and will be open to what comes next.

Mysticat is right
You don't need any physical connections. Lsd might not be obtainable without these, however the rest of the classic psychedellics that were available in the 70's are fairly easy to extract at home by yourself for a much lower cost than you would pay on the street.
It may be a bit more expensive at first, but once materials are acquired & you get through the learning curve, you'll be able to supply yourself with mescaline, dmt, & mushrooms for less than $5 per dose.
