i use mermelade mason jars for freeze precipitation and pyrex dishes for evaporation.
when evaporating naphta is better to do it on a large dish and for precipitation just a glass bottle with a lid, preferably one you can fit your hand inside to scrap the crystals out.
I disagree wesker, a pyrex glass dish with a nice surface area is what you want for a freeze precip. This is for two reasons -
1. You can evaporate your naphtha down with a fan much easier with a dish than a jar.
2. It is so much easier to scrape a dish to obtain your crystals, rather than have to put your hand into a jar which may make it difficult to scrape those last bits up.
Just get a pyrex glass dish and a razor blade, you can't go wrong.
