Sadly we'll never find out, because the living ones all fell off and the only way is down.Similarly, an ankylosaurus might have used its knobbly appendages as anchoring points for enormous, flamboyant plumes of feathers and spent most of its time singing and dancing, rather than bludgeoning each other and any nearby velociraptors or whatever, as the bloodthirsty, war-jaded palaeontologists of an earlier time appear to have imagined.
