"Generic" or "General"?

I think calling the parts of the forum that are about anything relating to a certain subject "general" would be more accurate and clear than "generic," which reminds me of generic prescription drugs or something vaguely common about something. Just a suggestion.
 
I agree “general” would fit better in this context, generic would be a place where all the topics end up that have been covered in one way or another and have nothing new, or fit every other internet forum.
 
Generic: characteristic of or relating to a class or group of things; not specific.

General:
1.
affecting or concerning all or most people, places, or things; widespread.

2.
considering or including the main features or elements of something, and disregarding exceptions; overall.
