Hi all,
I'm no stranger to psychedelics, especially DMT, but I've always had to source my psychedelics from... not me. I've made a handful of attempts at extractions and growing entheogenic plants to essentially no success. I know this forum is built at least partially around the idea of self-sufficiency, and I've certainly found a plethora of information here that should enable me to effectuate that self-sufficiency.
Something I'd like to hear specifically, though, is how people around here who are self-sufficient got started. Which plants did you start with, what teks did you start with, etc?
Also, do you all have any specific advice for someone just getting started on this path? Particularly, if you were getting started again now, how exactly would you go about doing it?
DMT is a favorite of mine, but I've been a fan of every psychedelic I've tried to date, so I'm curious to hear if anyone thinks that starting with something like cacti or morning glory might be a better introduction to entheogenic gardening.
And I guess since it's probably relevant, I'm in hardiness zone 6, but would probably be doing most of my gardening in pots that could be overwintered indoors.

I love the introduction! Aside from long-term cannabis cultivator, I am just at the beginning of my journey, and am still in the growth stage as opposed to the (extr)action phase of things, and I am in no way shape or form an expert, as most of my endeavors are truly an experiment at all times.
