[quote:926cc3636f="Jumpy"]Thanks Q but we're this far into the extraction...    I'm looking right now to order more jurema!     Does it look like my process will fail?[/quote:926cc3636f]    I realize that,I meant in future extractions.  your process shouldn't fail,just make sure you basify to 13.5 PH.anything lower and you'll have an emulsion that won't want to clear.also place in hot water bath to clear the emulsion faster.with the PH at 13.5 and in my crockpot at around 70 degrees C emulsions clear in less than 10 minutes.also to get the naptha to pull as much spice as possible heat it almost till it boils.I actually heat it till it starts bubbling.Remember DMT is soluble in HOT naptha and not very soluble in COLD naptha.That's the beauty of it to freeze precipitate.If you have too much naptha some might not precipitate and stay in solution.before putting it in the freezer evap some of the naptha at room temperature till it starts getting cloudy and then put it in the freezer(with tightly closed lid) you will see a snow storm inside your jar.set your freezer to the coldest setting around -20C.  good luck and please post your results.
