Migrated topic.

Not a big fan of bassnectar,
but this mix is alright if you're in that type of mood

download link:

bassnectar is not techno.
techno is a very specific, distinct style, and bassnectar does not produce it.
(not dogging on bn's style, just sayin')

that is techno.

electro is the early form of techno, aka proto-techno. Kraftwerk and Cybotron are a couple examples of seminal producers of the genre.

I'm sharing the links from my iPhone, so the links may be for mobile:|

IMO these 2 hour sets are pretty dope. If u like these, your in luck because Big Fish Recording's head honcho Lazy-Rich has been putting out 2 hour mixes showcasing his labels artists for 2 years now. There are upwards of 24 mixes available for free. Thats 48 hours of squelching moog basslines and slamming beats. The first hour consists of Lazy-Rich playing exclusive tracks from his label. the second hour is reserved for electro house legends like Dirty Loud, Darth & Vader, felguk, Far Too Loud to name a few.

Edit: I know this thread said 'techno'. I never know what people mean by that term. Detroit techno (Derrick May)...minimal, hardcore techno? I went to a ton of raves in and around Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison in the early 90's. Back then the Midwest scene was into mostly hardcore and acid techno.

I lived in the Bay Area in the mid 90's. People like the Hardkiss Bros, Dj Dan etc. played a lot of acid, breakbeat techno.

These mixes consist mostly of dirty electro...which IMO has more in common with Derick May than Juan Atkins.

I hope I'm not upsetting any techno purists, if there is such a thing:d

“This EP is about chemistry and space. I chose to focus on raw, analogue sounds. I spent a lot of time playing with white noise, static and sub bass, often layering them together and coming up with new sounds in the process.”

<3

black acid sounds so raw. industrial edge, like drumcode remixed nitzer ebb
