I was inspired to start this thread because it is happening again!
I took this pic of my largest clump of Lophophora williamsii back in early 2013.
You can see a new head starting to emerge between three of the existing heads. (I don´t use the term pup as they are generally regarded as a peripheral new growth, subordinate to Mama.)
A year (and a repot) later it had muscled its three close companions to one side, and had flowered and fruited.
I am currently closely monitoring a repeat performance.
