Have you come to the point where entities seem like distraction?

As the title says, have you ever had enough contact with entities that they started to annoy and distract you?

I remember when on some of my initial journeys, I felt sad that I didn't see any entities yet. Now, I've came to the point where I pray to avoid them. OK, not all of them are same, some are good, friendly and loving, others are pure trolls and ***holes. For example, sometimes I meet beings that look like stereotypical trollish appearance, and their only objective is to distract me, I've tried to guide my trip few times, but they were like "no, no, take a look at us instead". Other time, I had an old man, which was just laughing, beside some tree, with a shovel. Totally irrelevant and stupid. And some other time, I saw an entity bathing in a bathtub. Doing nothing except bathing, and seemingly enjoying it.

Can anyone relate?

I usually can't tell the difference between entities and non-entities. Every "entity" unfolds into a hallway or something as I'm interacting with it. With everything moving and transforming it's hard to tell if anything is what I would call an actual entity.

Otherwise, I think the existence of hyperspace somehow depends on distraction. If you could pay attention to any one thing for long enough, you would have figured it all out by now.

Perhaps at that moment the laughing old man beside the tree with his shovel was the most important thing for you to see/experience...Perhaps not, but, who are we to say?

This, to me, is quintessential DMT unpredctability & it is what I love about the Spice!


I suppose that I could complain about having to be the polo ball in a game of polo amongst the aristocracy of hyperspace. I could complain about a giant slug-like creature taking large bites out of my head. Yes I've experienced entities that seem like deliberate distractions.
From what, I've yet to figure out. They're getting something from us I don't know what it is.
I've had experiences where there's this elaborate grandiose display almost like a circus show.
The word Scam comes to mind, not all the time mind you but once in a while there's this certain kind of experience that instinctively feels like a ruse for some other purpose. I can also say that whatever it is,
it doesn't like it when you call them on it. I've experimented with this a few times and have had the whole trip just shut down like someone pulls a switch. As if once your on to it they can no longer pull off whatever it is they're doing. I want to emphasize that this is one interpretation that I have had in the past. It borders on some paranoid areas but has to be acknowledged none the less. I don't always feel this way during an experience.

For me it's not as if one thing or another is a distraction.
Rather a different path for the trip to progresses down.
Focusing on one aspect or thing may do one thing, while interacting with something else may be change the direction & cause the trip to become centered around that.
I think (for me at least) that your mind will tend to focus on some things more than others, like what we do here, you are drawn to certain things more than others & one area may be easier to pay attention to & figure out, while another may be harder because it is not something that interests you or you don't like whatever activity/subject/area.

I think entities whether ugly or beautiful are attempting to attract your attention most of the time, and here is why I believe:

In consensual reality, energy is required to "do work" - that is to move or perform any task. We are aware that energy can be converted into different forms (i.e. light, sonic, kinetic, potential, gravitational, mechanical, chemical, atomic...). Well in hyperspace this seems to hold true as well, it's just that certain types of energy tend to convert and sometimes seemingly co-illicit different types of energy than would happen in physical reality. In hyperspace, vibrational phenomena is very interconnected. Sound is intrinsically affected by light and vice-versa. For the way I experience things, when entities are moving about, they are doing so by creating sound patterns that give them the energy to move in certain ways. These sounds can be interrupted and modulated by physical sounds, thus correlating with a change in their actions and at times appearances.

Attention also affects the flow of energy. To quickly recount a story I've told before, I was having issues where the entities and holograms that would be conjured at the beginning of an experience would end up descending into the GVG when I put it down. At the time I assumed that they were following the direction my eyes were pointing based on earlier experimentation. What ended up happening was on one occasion I decided to put the GVG down while keeping a fixed gaze straight ahead and not looking at the GVG. Surely enough, the hyperspatial matter nevertheless descended into the GVG anyway. It was then that I came to the startling realization that the energy wasn't going where my eyes were pointing, but rather where my attention was (which is typically where my eyes are pointing).

So if we come back to the entities, then it seems clear from my point of view that the reason they are competing for your attention is because it quite literally gives them the energy (ability to do work) in order to do the crazy things that they do. Furthermore, the sounds they make captivate the attention. The visual "fireworks" they set off captivate the attention. It's all one huge energetic feedback loop. The difference from what I can tell about positive entities is that it seems to be a symbiotic relationship based on mutualism where both parties benefit from the energetic exchange. In the case of positive entities, the relationship appears to be more parasitic in nature. Their ugliness and off beat, and sometimes frightening activities are also crucial to commanding attention. From my experience, without sufficient energy, they cannot even approach the foreground for direct contact, which is how they thrive in my case. This is why I can use my throat singing to mediate their activity. It is often too visceral for them to withstand.

I would say that I encounter entities more than is considered "normal", and I relish it Even the so-called "negative" entities, the ones the OP describes as annoying or distracting, or irrelevant and stupid. I view every contact as an opportunity to communicate and attempt to bring something back from hyperspace.

Perhaps I have this view from my years of Salvia use. There seems to be even more of an abundance of these types of "annoyances, distractions, irrelevances" with Salvia but more often than not, that is only how it appears to be. As Felnik was commenting on, sometimes you begin to see through the illusion, like watching a magician perform a trick on someone else so you see how the trick is done and it loses its magic. But it's not like a switch being thrown, the trip only deepens and what unfolds beyond that is pure....experience. As if sometimes you're able to pull back the curtain and really see the raw visceral existence, the bedrock of what we call Salviaspace. I suspect DMT is similar in that respect.

I've learned ways to deal with overly antagonistic entities. As Global mentioned, throat singing is an incredible tool. Laughter is also extremely powerful. If you can leave the annoyance/irritation behind and just laugh at the absurdity of what they're trying to do, they lose all power.

Maybe I don't truly apply when it comes to this thread but I haven't met an entity "face to face" so to speak. So do they annoy or distract me? No, not really. I always seem to get this feeling that they are "around" but they tend to stay behind me, seemingly disinterested.

Then again, I've never tried to turn my mental focus around and catch a glimpse of one before they run off. I am not the greatest at navigating hyperspace yet but I learn more and more with each journey. I always feel a presence or sometimes many presences but that is all it seems to be. Like they are watching me, perhaps waiting for me to make the first move? I don't know...

The visions are truly amazing though even without face to face entity contact. Fractalized explosions and infinitely complex geometric shapes and figures beyond comprehension never cease to leave me standing in awe. More often than not, I "hear" more than I see. Rapid fire blips and noises that somewhat resemble humanoid vocal patterns. Usually there is a bunch going/talking/communicating at once so it is very difficult to decipher anything that may have been "said" ...

So in that regard, yes I do find that a bit distracting. But also incredibly fascinating. Besides, what could it possibly be distracting me from? Myself? Is there something I am not supposed to see? Whatever happens is supposed to happen, IMO. I don't mind seeing the so called good, bad and ugly. It is all part of something greater and amazing. Even if the meaning or message is seemingly insignificant or unclear, it still has a meaning.

Personally, most entities i've interacted with was a positive experience (even the creepy as fuck ones). I think what we think of a said entity will greatly influence how it interacts with us. It's the same with people : if I call you an asshole and try to piss you off you will probably do the same and act like one even if you aren't. Thing is with entities, even the slightest though in the back of our mind is an interaction. I think this is a way the entities test us (I personally think it is my subconscious) to bring us into a state of transcendence.

Keep in mind that there is this thing in psychology (forgot what they call it) where the more you try not to think about something the more it is there.

Ooo ! and a ressemblance to a living thing does not mean it is an entity imo, if it doesn't interact with you it is not an entity it is just an image so take it with a grain of salt. Why should an image of a entity (not an entity) awake different feelings than an image of fractals or whatever ?

I recall one vaped DMT journey where i was getting the usual tryptamine CEVs and was quite enjoying it but as i questioned the source and purpose of what i was seeing all of a sudden my attention was drawn away from the field of visuals until i could see them against a dark backround, they were forming a funnel/vortex shape and as i followed the vortex to its narrow tip i could see this Cosmic Joker/clown was spinning the vortex from his finger tip, it was as if his purpose was to keep my attention distracted/captivated by the illusory visuals

It makes sense that in working with psychedelics one could learn through becoming distracted (with visuals, entities, or any mind state) then coming to see through the distractions and waking up to a deeper perspective, it also makes a lot of sense that some entities could feed off our attention, i know a few 'real life' entities that seem to work like that...

I was outside smokeing dabs in the middle of nowhere you could see thousands of stars but one star or whatever it was in particular was moving so fast completely un-identifiable it was not flashing nor was it streaking across the sky it looked like the North Star same brightness but moving at mind-boggling speeds and then just vanished both of my friends saw it including one that was completely sober has anyone had a strange experience they couldn't explain besides a psychedelic trips.

I never thought about it like this, but it makes a lot of sense! The idea of energy imbued in attention is very similar to the insights in The Celestine Prophecy but extended to a hyperspatial level.

I had OCD and intrusive thoughts when I was younger and sometimes I get spurts of this in forms of distraction during DMT trips. On my vaporhuasca journey the other week I initially saw an entity reading pornographic magazines. And it's just like, "Come on man, I'm trying to have some powerful realizations or life-changing visions occur and I have to look at this?" So I know how you feel.

Not all of them are distractions by any means but there are quite the trolls out there.

They are trying to make you focus on distraction by itself in itself, like we do in our everyday live focusing ourselves on finding means to attaint the ever wanted "state of distraction". I swear to fucking God once's you let go of everything that you are (i.e in this case a being-towards-distraction) that's when it becomes crazily deep in every sense. Forget about safety and society, forget about your desires, just look, don't think or judge. It's hard but it is liberating when you get there. Got to find your own techniques though.

In other words, they are distracting you from the state you can attaint and reorienting your focus towards the "state" that you are or think you are. Sort of like the Hedonic treadmill, but of your whole being not just of your happiness. So here you have an opportunity to transcend this "Hedonic treadmill of mundane being" and they know you want to transcend it, so what they do is keep you on the treadmill by distracting you. You can imagine the treadmill has their source of energy : if your on it running then all is good for them, if your not, well, to bad for the little elfs.

When I get close to this "state" the entities throw a party for me, congratulating and welcoming me into the club. It is a very cool feeling, but once's I get to carried away by it it will slowly fade aways and transfigure itself into something else.
