Health, Peace and Music

Esteemed member
Greetings!

I also participate in the Bluelight.ru forums under the same handle, so feel free to check me out there, too.

I'm currently a university student, and I don't really have the time, especially nor the money to do extractions, so I guess I'm here for everything else, and perhaps the occasional lazy-man's extraction.

I am a drummer, hence the name. No, not drum set, but hand percussion. Djembe, Ashiko, Dumbek, and I sometime I'd like to learn Tabla. One of my favorite things to do these days is to drum with other people, especially guitarists/singer songwriters. Also, drumming on some cactus is... ecstatic.

I have an autoimmune disorder which I'll be glad to elaborate on if you ask me. Having this health issue has lead me to studying human biology and nutrition on my own spare time. I am very interested in all matters of health, especially the mind-body connection, which I believe is not really a connection, but an inseparable oneness. Also of interest to me are the ways in which various psychedelics have a positive impact on one's own health.

I have intermittent experience with DMT. I haven't yet "broken through." Sometimes it's not very comfortable, but I know it is good medicine.

Peace!

Ecstatic? I would've thought it was extremely painful on the hands! :d

Hey Captain Bones-

I have rhuematoid arthritis, which started about 1.5 years ago (I'm 20). It's lots of inflammation (and consequently pain and loss of mobility) in all my major joints, excluding my fingers, toes, and spine. It kinda comes in waves, and there were times when I could barely walk. Right now it's relatively under control, as I'm taking Enbrel, eating a raw food diet, doing physical therapy, and I had a few cortisone injections last December. It's been an interesting experience, and I'm sure it will continue to be one.

I'm not familiar with Lupus, how does that affect you?

Hey there Rhythmspring.

I'm hearing you about the instruments and cactus thing. I like my didj the most in that state of conciousness. I play the tabla too and I enjoy it so much I'm past caring about not having the technique down perfect. It sounds good to me... more importantly it FEELS good :) Escpecially on cactus...

right on it!

Interesting.. i was not aware arthritis was an auto immune disease but hey, it makes sense. It must be hard with that kind of inflammation, i rarely have any, but i positive think alot and work with visualizations.

Be careful with the raw food diet.. i am no expert but i know that some raw veggies cant get digested and the nutrients absorbed as much. i think steaming is the best. I am a vegitarian, but that is more for personal beliefs and not slowing my mental clarity.

It effected me hard when i first got it, but i was in eighth grade then, and it was after a time of severe depression (lupus has no known cause, but from sources higher than me i have learned it is a way for the body to try to iradicate itself. which is sad but now i love self. and i have it. which is weird haha. I just take meds everyday and its pretty chill.

from wikipedia
"Shamanism is a 'calling'. Individuals who are 'called' typically experience an illness of some sort over a prolonged period of time. This illness will prompt the individual to seek out spiritual guidance and other shamanic healers. Such illnesses are usually not healed/curable by physicians and western medicine. The shaman heals through spiritual means that consequently affect the human world by bringing about restored health."

I used to jokingly call myself a shaman, and then i read that a couple weeks back. Not to much of a joke anymore. Just gotta overcome the wolf before i can truly heal others.

But im glad i met you

^ No, you aren't an expert :p . Cooking actually destroys the enzymes and a very large chunk of nutrients of vegetables, making them actually worse for you and harder to absorb. Using a juicer/blender is a must on a raw food diet to avoid overwhelming the digestive track.

Interesting... I also believe that my arthritis has its roots in a depressive period in my life (2007). Auto-immune diseases are quite literally the self fighting with itself, or rejecting an aspect of itself.

YES AND YES!!! ok well using a juicer is good i just knew the thing about improper digestion  but im glad your eatting them right

And its good you have discovered this so soon. It took me quite some time to see that i was to much of a pussy to actually off myself, so my body started doing it for me. It all goes along so perfectly with the law of attraction and how our thoughts echo throughout the universe.

Im not sure what organs in specific your arthritis effects (whole body?) but in eastern cultures it was thought that organs needed to release emotions that were associated with each one. It might be interesting for you to look into what emotions or a clogged chakra that is associated with it.
