Hello all.

I just figured out that I can't start or reply to any posts without full membership so I'd better introduce myself to help the process along:wink:

I've been reading this forum nightly for about 3 months. I came across it between my first and second extractions (of dye). I have been using this dye regularly (2-3 times a week for about 3 months), and have come to love it very much.

I used to use many different colors of dye when I was younger, but took 13 years off when I got married and had kids (2). I am still married and still have kids (both of them), but have recently found time to explore again.

For me the procees of extracting the dye is almost as enjoyable as using it (almost).
I have some questions (and maybe some answers as well), and would love to be able to post them.

I feel like I already know many of you (you may have seen me on the forum alot, I was simply known as "guest" before).

Welcome. I like your avatar, did you draw it yourself my friend? And what materials do you usually use to extract your dye

Ahhh... If only I could draw like that!

I stole my avatar from someone who CAN draw from somewhere online. I would certainly give them credit if I had any way of knowing who it was.

As far as the extractions, MHRB is all that I have used (purple is such a nice color for dye). From some of the questions I've seen here, I seem to have done well for a beginner; both yield and quality have been excellent.

I did an A/B first, then 2 STB after. The STB needed more purification than the A/B, but both worked quite well in the end!
