First, thanks to all who support this site. It’s unbelievable the amount of knowledge here. I feel like I don’t have enough time to learn and explore everything I want to. So, thank you. I’m very pleased to have landed here.
My introduction to the molecule happened some time ago. Unfortunately, I don’t think I was ready for it at that moment. It wasn’t until about five years ago that it came back into my life. I managed to get my hands on a few grams so I could have it with me whenever I needed it. But I was — and still am — too intrigued. I needed to know and understand where it comes from.
This guy told me he extracts it from Acacia confusa. Years passed, and recently he gave me 1 kg of root bark. I wanted to have it with me because I consider it sacred. It’s still baffling how infinite it feels. I also wanted to do my own extraction, learn the process, and better understand what I’m working with.I haven’t seen the tree in person, only in a video. It didn’t have flowers, so it’s really difficult to know for sure which Acacia species it is. I will upload a screenshot from the video — maybe some of you can help identify it, although I think it might be difficult with just that.
So, I performed an A/B extraction from 500 grams of root bark. My grinding wasn’t fine enough — it didn’t turn into a proper powder.
Let’s just say one bong hit and you really need to be a good pilot.
I now know that jungle spice exists. I’m still learning.
I’m on a quest to find the tree so I can properly identify it and propagate it somehow. I’m good with cloning. I didn’t know I could extract from phyllodes — if I had known, I would never have accepted the root bark. There are also two acacias on the island where I live (supposedly endemic to the island) that I’m very interested in. I can’t find much information on them, and as far as I know, nobody has tested them before. I’m deeply involved in that quest and hope it bears fruit soon.
I believe trees are sacred, and I don’t feel the same level of respect from the person who provided the bark — neither for the trees nor for the molecule itself.
Since my first grinding wasn’t good enough, I decided to keep the bark, dry it, freeze it for two days, and grind it again. I did a short A/B extraction, and on the first pull I got tiny crystals that look like brown sugar. I haven’t tried them yet, but this time I will add mullein and a native Passiflora that grows here. I have both of them in my garden.I will post my advances soon, hoping to be part of and contribute to this community. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Wishing you all safe journeys.

- First pull: yellow crystals with goo
- Second pull: just crystals
- Third pull: just brownish-reddish goo
