Hello, I'm new here and want to introduce myself, since it's common here I guess. I am in my late 20s and am interested in doing an extraction and am looking for tips. I'm studying chemistry in my second year and already have some lab experience. I want to do an A/B extraction with HCL, NaOH and Naphtaline. I already aquired the materials and now I'm looking for some tips.

Also I already have some experience with a few DMT breakthroughs and I have tried low dose (around 4mg) 5meo but am still hesitant with going further. I am looking forward to a good exchange

The FAQ and Extraction tek wiki entry should be able to get your on your feet for your first extraction. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with all of the necessary safety precautions particular to your chosen tek and materials. As I’m sure you understand with your current lab experience, understanding your tek before executing is crucial. Please be sure that the particular solvent you have in your possession is clean evaporating and safe to use for extraction.

Is DMT the only entheogen you have experimented with? Do you feel that your previous experimentation has benefited you long term in any way?

Yes exactly, all the materials have to be pure and since I want to understand what is actually going on, I didn't just jump into action. I know the understanding is crucial. I mean sure, it's possible to yield a good result without even know what's going on just by following some good recipe, but that's not my intend. I will have to read more into the theory and want to find out how to get out the maximum amount of purest product. I know the basic steps, but want to learn more in detail. I only had one semester of organic chemistry yet so I don't really understand what's going on beyond a surface level. Also I still need to find out how to wash/purize the extract from all the leftovers and get some good final product. Thank you for the link, I will read on it on detail and will make a good plan for my experiment.

No, DMT isn't the only entheogen I experienced with, I have also experience with LSD, LSA, Psylocybin, Ketamine and I tried Salvia once. It's hard to say if I benefited on it in the long run, but I can clearly say it made me more open about many different things and it also helped on short term with some problems I'm facing. But I didn't have "the" magical experience that changed my life that many people are talking about and I actually don't believe in something like that although I would happy to be proven wrong.

Welcome to the Nexus. You sound like you are on your way to some amazing adventures. I applaud you for moving forward with your own extraction. @dreamer042 recently showed the chat a link from DanceSafe warning that in Chicago (if there then other places too) DMT and Ketamine was being found tainted with Fentanyl. A psychonaut who is smart just cannot be too careful. Clearly the plants are the way forward, as our predecessors long ago, fully understood.

Thanks for the warning, but I don't live in the US. Here in Europe there is almost no Fentanyl yet. I recently heard something about some Coke that was tainted with Fent but besides that in my country there is usually no Fentanyl. I'm really happy about that.

I'm done with my first extraction! Im very happy about it, my yield consists of beatiful completely white snowflakes, they're beatiful
