Hello there

Migrated topic.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Life dealt me the hand of being a loaner for the most part. Vivid imagination and always many thoughts and questions that can't be brought up with most people. I've usually preferred to observe from a distance the interactions others have rather than participate in them. Intense desire for answers and searching for meaning in the world has led me to psychedelics.

My main passions are cannabis and psychology.

Much appreciation for all who've been paving the path before me.

Introspection and isolation can be a very good thing for some people. People watching is entertaining to a certain extent. At some point connection is something we all need in our life I feel. Being a loaner is a choice I think. Sure life deals out cards but it's how you play them cards.

^ This I couldn't agree more with.

I have made the choice to be a loner as well. I've never actively searched for IRL communications. A huge part of the reason for that is my stuttering habit of course.

That being said, I've never felt regret for this choice though. Silently observing people (and most of all - Mother Nature) has given me more knowledge than anything else. I bear my scars with pride, but I don't show them to everyone.

Observation is also one of the main principles behind permaculture. By observing a practically perfect system such as a completely natural ecosystem, humans gain the knowledge and means of replication of the relations between elements of said ecosystem.

Much in the same way observing people and their behavior gives you knowledge that a conversation with said people would not give you. The opposite is true as well, of course. I've just never been much of a speaker.

Welcome to the Nexus, my friend. May mindfulness and love accompany you on this journey.
