Help! I think my Peyote is dying!

I just checked my peyote and noticed it is a mess. I don't know what happened or how. It is squishy. He looked so fine just the last time I checked. Is it mite? I don't have any idea what to do.

Well it appears to have rotted.. I don't know how this happened, I didn't water him forever. I just unpotted my peyote and the roots are completely dry, I guess just one side somehow retained moisture?

I am sad... I can't believe this happened.

But don't worry, now you yote is in the farm where all pets go when it's time.

Thanks... yea, I am sad. He seemed like he was doing so well and then the next time I checked he was dead. I don't know what I did. Hopefully I can get some seeds to germinate...
