It is not supposed to compute, interest in DMT differs from any other mind altering substance and is rare to find. It must have to do with attractor patterns. Without these patterns one would not search or even just stumble upon the subject matter. A similar example on a different level however would be Peak Oil for instance. For a few it is the most simple concept to understand, for the majority of the population however it will never be mentally accessible, probably because on a subconscious level the implications of PO are too personal or fundamental but first and foremost simply not all not digestible. http://www.peakoil.com/fortopic32253-90.html
