Walking towards the past with our backs to the future
The hour glass counting down
In a rush to get nowhere fast
Alone at last
Break the seal that guards the path
Biting down on a forced frown
Turn around
The clown
Looks of ignorance and classless appeal
Steal the thunder that makes you real
Eyes gazing through clouds of mist
Believe me when I tell you
There is nothing you'll miss
The beauty of the moon in full bloom
The universal wheel to which it consumes
Resume concentration
Fight to stay awake
The truth that is endless
Your ongoing fate
One of these days you're bound to break
Unable to shake free
From what you perceive to be
Just another mind fuck
Self confessed destiny
