You can open any topic you want in the sections you have access to now. Membership is just a formality, pretend it doesn't exist. I think we're all curious to read about your experiences and interact. Rest assured, there are people here who can understand you.
if i'm a "full" member, i go to relevant sections not to the "welcome" one. chances i get answers on that sections are far smaller than in the relevant sections instead. but no matter, these "elitarian" communities are very common nowadays...
Now, I'm going to call you out.
I humbly request you stop whining about this and do some of what has been already mentioned in order to be promoted to full membership.
It's something that has to be earned (which is not elitist and fully within your control). One of the things you've been instructed to do is to interact more on the forum and chat. I'm rarely on the chat so won't speak on that aspect, but seven of your nine posts are in this thread here...
If you find it elitist that this is a community that has
standards and prefers a certain clarity of thought and quality of interaction, then I pity you for your narrow view. To truly be elitist, the forum would need to say, be by "invite only" or even harder to find on the internet.
You're the one that wants to be a member here. There are things that you need to do in order to receive full-member status. Do what you need to achieve your goal. But whining and insulting the forum only sets you back...
