Hiraea fagifolia

Never heard of this one before. This thread comes up near the top of the search results.

Hiraea is in the Malpighiaceae, same as caapi.

It's pretty widespread - it would on the one hand be rather surprising to find out that it contains DMT, but on the other hand only a small proportion of plants have been analyzed so who knows?

I haven't been able to find much on the phytochemistry of the species:

Using the name "chaliponga" was probably a marketing ploy.
