how do you pronounce changa?

i've always known it as chAnga like with an ay/A sound. another friend calls it chunngaa...

not that this is a pressing issue of any kind, i'm just unsure how its actually meant to be pronounced

I've been pronouncing it CHANG-gah, (rhyming with 'clang') but will henceforth pronounce it with the "Ah" sound.

(Without resorting to excesses or exaggerations which might make it sound British in my American mouth)

That's how I pronounce bangra too. must be a South African thing
