Hello,

i have got some San Pedro chips arriving soon and i am planning on making a tea for 2 people. I am going to be getting 250g of dried chips, im guessing that should be enough for 2 people with hopefully a little left over.

what are peoples experiences of making a tea from SP chips and how much cactus did you use per serving?

(I understand individual tollerence and quality of the SP is a big factor)

Cheers.

cheers ۩,

what would you expect of this dose?

Nothing.

You can't predict cactus. Sometimes it's a nice trip, othertimes it is the most amazing trip of your life and nothing else compares...I would say don't stop exploring until that happens, but that's an expectation in itself.

I've made plenty of tea from fresh pedro and powdered pedro.

When making tea from a dried source, keep in mind that the material will expand when water is added. My biggest problem with dried material is filtering. The cactus turns into a snotty wierd mass that refuses to filter. This may be different with chips, but I doubt it. I would boil it until all the snot breaks down(this may take 2+hrs of hard boil) and then filter thru a t-shirt. Repeat 4 times, collect fluids and reduce. Also, use distilled water. It will hold onto more alks and there won't be any minerals in your tea.

I prefer to boil down to a heavy syrup. Just keep an eye on it at the end, because it can carmalize and burn. It should be the consistancy of paint. Much easier to down a few tablespoons of syrup, than a whole cup of tea.

250g could be nearly +2g of mescaline. That would be about 4 good doses or 2 very heroic doses. If you have time, try a small amount of the syrup(like a tablespoon) and see if you feel anything. Mescaline is very gentle and bad trips rarely happen. Just plan ahead because it lasts a long long time (12-14hrs).

Last time I did some syrup, we smoked some changa about 4-6hrs into the trip. Totally amazing!!!! The geometric visuals lingered thru the rest of the trip. WOW!!

cheers ۩.

this is usefull info Bezerker, cheers. you say boil it untill the snot breaks down, will the snot only be given off during the first boil of the chips or will it appear on all the boils?

i will also be adding some changa to the mix:d

anyone used SP tea with hamala's? how was the potentiation?

Harmalas curb the stimulation of the mescaline. I like to wait until the comedown and then vaporize. Profound synergy. I have also taken them together and it makes for a very dreamy experience. Not sure about potentiation.

The snot will go away after the first boil. Just be patient because it takes awhile and stir it because it gets all foamy on top. Mmmm the lovley smell of boiling cactus. When I smell it now it brings back memories of wonderfull times and butterflies in my stomach.

When you see the snot form, you'll know why its bad to dose the dried material. Some people can stomach it, but I don't know how they do it. Barfing up nasty, stringy, slimy snot cannot be fun.

I use a pressure cooker myself. 4x for 15mins at 15psi = pure magic.

Also, when making syrup. Let it sit in the fridge for 2 days (at least). The plant material that made it thru the filtering will settle at the bottom. Decant the clear, dark fluid from the top and enjoy. Add more dH2O to the bottom layer, let sit and decant again. Still some goodies in that sludge.

split it

you wont know the potency till you try it yourself

or you can extract a small amount and see how much is in the remainder

50g of dried chips produced fractals in tiles, wood grain to morph and rotate, leopard pattern to rearrange itself and 10 mins felt like 2 hours. Very cold sensation throughout and ears felt like cardboard. And about 14 hours long. Strange day indeed!

cheers for the input, maybe i will brew it all then test run 50g on my own before splitting the rest.
