How much does heat matter

Im about to start some golden teachers. I have never grown mushrooms myself and I was curious how much heat matters. Im from new england where it’s honestly not all that hot right now. Is at the top of my dark closet an ok to keep them in the beginning stages? Its not necessary cold in my room, but my room gets colder then the rest of the house. How could this affect my grow?

Cubes grow best at 25-27°C, but are fine with lower temperature.
They grow slowly below 20°C, and stop to grow over 31°C.
My advice is to keep them above 22°C.

During colonization it's best to give them some warmth so they can eat through the substrate before something else does.

When fruiting, I've found cubes will tolerate the the high teens and low twenties (Celsius) perfectly well. They tend to slow down but do produce denser fruits and strong bluing. You may also notice dense blobs of mycelium forming which also contain plenty of actives.
