How to convert Harmalas HCL to Freebase?

dissolve in water, add a base, wait for precipitation, filter, dry, smoke.

I suggest you make a solution with your base (for example saturate some water with sodium carbonate, filter to remove excess sodium carb), and add that to your harmala solution, to prevent undissolved base to be mixed with your harmalas

Hey Caleig...did this work for you?

Also at Endlessness.....i have some pure cappi alkaloid tincture which is 100mg per ml.
The ingredients are listed as pure alkaloid extract and food grade vinegar (as a preservative)
Could this be converted into freebase in a similar fashion?
How would you go about it?

You only need to perform one extra step before you do what endlessness suggested. Throw salt in your extract, and the carbolines will form salts and end up in the bottom and maybe cloud the liquid. Throw in a lot of salt, until you have multiple grades of white crystals in your solution (some will be just salt, an indication that you oversaturated the solution and got all of the actives out). Then filter them and keep the solids.

Than perform the rest of the steps (dissolve in water etc...)

Steps above would work to precipitate the harmalas in salt form (HCl), not in freebase form. To precipitate in freebase form, simply add sodium carbonate to your tincture. Add very slowly because it will bubble. It will first neutralize, then it will start becoming basic and precipitate the harmalas.

I have some extracted harmalas that i used a manske tek for sitting in my fridge from months ago. Would this still be ok to use? I was thinking of straining and adding what is strained to a very basic water solution.

If my thinking is correct, this should disolve the salt that is in the mix and leave behind the freebase harmalas? Is this correct? Or is it so old that its not good to use?
