Very nice. Its funny how misshapen grafts look sometimes. Like something with an abnormally giant head and thin body. Keep up the great work. Cacti are wonderful house plants.

What's your "turn-on" temperature for the fan? In other words, what temp do you keep your cabinet at?
Thank you,
wap
p.s. nice cabinet hostilis![]()
Funky Monkey said:I have it set to turn on at 29°C when the light is on, and it keeps the temp around 28°C. It switches on quite regularly. At night it gets down to about 18-20°C without the fan.

Is that soil temperature or ambient air temperature inside the cabinet?

This thread has been such an inspiration. I'm building a similar cabinet setup today.

D.REYx420 said:Seeing this thread rele makes me want to make a cabinet like this so that I have something to hobby about this winter and grow my cacti collection. Hi wap, did you end up building your growing cabinet?
Yes I did. It's pretty awesome. I used an old entertainment center that has doors. Picked it up pretty cheap from a Good Will. Still need to get arduino, thermo-sensor, and fans hooked up. Oh, I also need to spend some time organizing the various wires. Once I get it all tidied up I'll send ya a photo
Again, thank you for the inspiration

and things are growing again.
