A very strange thing happened to me, and wasn't I surprised to find several threads discussing the same phenomenon? I'm just posting this thread to add my story to the list.
A little over a year ago, in September 2023, I started extracting my own DMT, dissolving it in propylene glycol and glycerin and vaping it. I was guaranteed to break through with one ten-second first toke and a much shorter second one, whereas I had never gotten the hang of a glass pipe (I had tried several years before) and would just burn my DMT. I was blasting off once or twice a week, depending on the week, and the trips were amazingly productive. Until one day, in March 2024, the entities told me to stop doing DMT until I had integrated all the insights I had been shown.
So I did as I was told. I put away my magic vape and went to work on myself. In the beginning of September, I asked the I Ching if it was okay to do DMT again and got a negative answer. Specifically, I got hexagram number 64 - Wei Ji (Not Yet Fulfilled). It contains this passage:
Little fox, almost across the river.
It is not yet past the central line.
Wets its tail. Nothing is favorable.
I took this to mean that I was almost where I needed to be, but not quite. One month later, I asked again and got a positive answer. I went back to using DMT about once per weeks at first. My trips were just as intense as before, if not moreso.
Around the same time, I started doing psilohuasca, that is, taking magic mushrooms along with an MAOI. Of course, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to vape DMT during a psilohuasca trip. The first two times were amazing. The third time is a total blank. I remember putting the vape down with my lungs full of vapor and closing my eyes. I remember opening them a few minutes later. I remember nothing in between.
Two days after this trip, I decided to ask the entities what had happened. I've had many favorable results with concentrating on my goals for a DMT trip and saying it out loud before blasting off, so that's what I did. The trip started, and I saw my visual field being covered by something that was almost entirely black - just different enough from totally black so that I was aware that I was in fact seeing something. It remained this way for several minutes, until I opened my eyes, wondering what had gone wrong. Had I not inhaled as much as I thought I had? Imagine my surprise when I opened my eyes to see fractals all over the walls and ceiling! I closed my eyes again - near total blackness again.
That was Monday. Today, a thought occurred to me: what if I just wasn't supposed to know what happened during that previous trip, so the entities showed me nothing rather than something else I might misconstrue as having to do with said trip? So I tried vaping DMT again, this time without vocalizing any specific intent. Again, the same thing happened: it was like my face was being covered by a thick dark blanket, with just enough color and movement for me to be positive that it wasn't totally black, and when I opened my eyes, all the expected visual distortions were there. Clearly I was "being shown nothing", as opposed to "not being shown anything". That is, the dose was sufficient both times to cause visions, but those visions were of nothing.
Message received - I won't be doing DMT for a while. But I find it very odd that this second time it happened this way, when the first time it was communicated to me clearly. I wonder what changed, or what I did wrong?
Here are a few threads I found where similar situations are discussed. They often involve speculation regarding tolerance, however I can state with 100% certainty that it has nothing to do with tolerance in my case. Open-eye visuals were amazingly intense, it was specifically the CEVs that were denied me. And it was implied quite strongly that any potential insights would be denied as well, as I have an understanding with the entities regarding when I trip with my eyes open vs closed.
Sooo disappointed... DMT wont work anymore...
